GNOSTIC INTUITIONS IN THE PICTURE BY N. K. RERIKH "MOTHER OF THE WORLD"

Abstract. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the canvas by Nikolai Konstantinovich Rerikh "Mother of the World". The authors examine the composition, colour scheme and symbolism of the picture, analyze its axiological content, and describe gnostic conceptions and Pleroma images personifying mystical feminity and the Absolute cognition. The paper identifies elements of iconography of religious and philosophical doctrines based on gnosis.
