REPRESENTATION OF THE CATEGORY "SILENCE" IN SEMIOTIC TEXTS OF THE CHINESE MODEL OF CULTURE

Abstract. The article reveals features of representation of the category "silence" in semiotic texts of the Chinese model of culture, as for effective interaction with representatives of this culture it is necessary to take into account non-verbal signs, among which there is the category "silence". The research is carried out within the framework of a classification developed earlier on the basis of the principle of the characteristic of the coding features of the category in semiotic texts. The analysis is carried out basing on the study of philosophy of culture from the viewpoint of the semiotic research.
