Abstract. This article examines issues related to ambiguity of the world globalization process in the social-economic sphere, its positive meaning and negative manifestations. The negative ones, in particular, are increasing polarization of developed, developing and backward countries. Modernization of the latter is purposely restrained by the former, and also by the global oligarchy for mercenary purposes. The paper also deals with the need to create a globalization management system in the direction of forming a society of real humanism on a global scale.
