SPACE OF HIDDEN MEANINGS: ON THE ISSUE OF SPACE IN MUSIC

Abstract. The main focus of the work is connected with development of spatial subject matter of musicology. It examines how the metaphor "space" organizes the semantic field of a music piece, which, on the one hand, carries a spatial intention of its author, and on the other - represents one of the most topical philosophical and aesthetic conceptions of the contemporary musical art - the conception of sacred space. Cognitive coordinates of the sacred space are an idea of syncretism and aesthetics of minimalism.
