Abstract. The article is devoted to topical problems of the life of orphans and children without parental care, held in children’s institutions of the Republic of Altai. The author analyzes the well-known causes that give rise to the use of violence against children, identifies measures aimed at preventing violence against children in orphan’s houses and boarding schools. An attempt is made to understand the problems of the current situation in educational institutions, which testify to an inadequate attitude towards the selection and ranking of pedagogical staff.
