WORK STYLE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE ALL-UNION LENINIST YOUNG COMMUNIST LEAGUE COMMITTEES IN THE MIDDLE AND THE SECOND HALF OF THE 1960S

Abstract. The author compares the requirements of supreme Komsomol bodies for the lower-rank All-Union Leninist Young Communist League committees with the realities of intra-union life of the 1960s. It is shown that Komsomol organizations at the place of residence were the most efficient in this period. Having analyzed the results of 1966 mass survey among Komsomol members the author concludes that there was clear awareness among the young people that union activity should be meaningful, aimed to solve really important tasks.
