Abstract. The article examines the peculiarities of artistic interpretations of Biblical and Evangelical storylines in the modern domestic visual art. The author analyzes figurative and stylistic peculiarities of the paintings, emphasizes the relevance of Biblical themes. For the first time pictorial and graphical works of the Tyumen artists are considered from this viewpoint.
