INFLUENCE OF EXPRESSIONISM ON THE CREATIVITY OF THE SYRIAN ENGRAVERS

Abstract. The article briefly examines the development of the modern Syrian art in the early XX century. Also, a brief review of expressionism in the contemporary art is given and the expressionistic style in modern art of engraving of Syria is analyzed by the examples of works by famous artists of different generations. The article consists of several parts and sufficient illustrative material, which includes a description of the creativity of the modern Syrian engravers.
