Abstract. The article considers the problem of human disease and adaptive capabilities within the space of the scientific-philosophical approach. An analysis of the discussion of the "disease-adaptation" theory is conducted, and its result is replacement of the scientific paradigm in a certain concrete-historical period. The author comes to the conclusion that the study of this problem opens up new horizons for promising theoretical and philosophical studies and for solving the pressing problems of the modern medicine and philosophy of science.
