MECHANISMS AND FORMS OF ASSISTANCE TO THE ARMY OF KOLCHAK BY THE PERM URBAN SOCIETY IN 1919

Abstract. The article deals with the activity of the Perm public organizations on the maintenance of military units created in the Perm governorate during the rule of A. V. Kolchak. Immediately after the capture of the city in December 1918, the new government set the task of not only the formation of local units, but also their partial maintenance. First of all, this function was taken over by local government bodies restored during A. V. Kolchak’s rule. On the basis of the archival materials and the periodicals of the Perm governorate, the author considers various events aimed at raising funds for the army. These materials allow evaluating the attitude of the Perm community to the maintenance of the White Army units right up to their retreat and liquidation of local self-government bodies under the Bolsheviks.
