FORMATION AND STRUCTURAL TRANSFORMATION OF SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL SOCIETIES OF THE TATAR ASSR IN THE 1950S - AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 1960S

Abstract. The article is devoted to analyzing structural and functional transformations of voluntary scientific and technical associations of the Tatar ASSR in the 1950s - at the beginning of the 1960s, i.e. in the period of their institutional formation. Analyzing archival materials and published sources the author concludes on contradictive nature of these transformations which on the whole represent the contradictions of state scientific and technical policy. Along with the efficient structures flimsy associations were created in order to please party and state bodies, scientific and technical associations were to perform non-relevant mobilization functions which significantly reduced their efficiency.
