POET B. V. BER AND THE REVOLUTIONARY EVENTS at THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract. In the article the life and the creativity of the little-known representative of the Russian poetry of the Silver Age and the translator Boris Vladimirovich Ber are studied, his friendship and correspondence with the writer and thinker A. M. Gorky are shown, and the connection between Ber and the Atyashevsky District of the Republic of Mordovia is identified. The author paid special attention to the period of B. V. Ber’s life in his family estate in the village Znamenskoye, analyzed the influence of the revolutionary events at the beginning of the XX century on the creativity and destiny of the poet and the translator.
