Abstract. The article examines expressionist stylistics in the pictorial and graphical works of the Tyumen painters, analyzes the figurative structure of the most significant works of this trend and shows that their originality is conditioned by the peculiarities of painter’s personality, context of spiritual and social life in the period of creation of paintings. For the first time expressionist trend in the Tyumen painters’ creative work is analyzed in the context and in the synthesis of other style trends (realism, symbolism, post-modernism).
