THE NOGAI ETHNIC COMPONENT IN YA. SH. SHERFEDINOV’S FOLKLORIC COLLECTION "KAYTARMA SOUNDS"

Abstract. The article raises the problem of the insufficient study of the Crimean Nogai ethnic music and aims to identify it from the traditional musical culture of the region. Notations from Ya. Sh. Sherfedinov’s folkloric collection "Kaytarma Sounds" served as a research material. It is shown that a lot of notations from the collection contain the Nogai ethnic component traceable according to basic parameters and features: musical, non-musical and performing. The author concludes on their belonging to the Nogai folkloric tradition.
