THE GREAT UPHEAVALS OF 1917 IN RUSSIA: FOREIGN POLICY IMPLICATIONS AND NEW INTERNATIONAL REALIAS

Abstract. The purpose of this work is to consider the consequences of events that took place in 1917 in Russia, which influenced the foreign policy of the Russian state, and also determined relations of the Quadruple Alliance countries and the Entente Allies with Russia from the point of view of the priority of Russia’s state interests. The scientific novelty of the study is that on the basis of the analysis of the content of legislative acts, secret documents of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as of a number of peace treaties and agreements concluded at the intergovernmental level by the representatives of Soviet Russia, the authors reveal the prerequisites for military intervention in Russia, the circumstances of its exclusion from the winning countries in the First World War, as well as the preconditions for the Civil War.
