Abstract. The article deals with the problem of legal understanding within the framework of "natural" and "positive" law. The methodological discourse is conditioned by the meaning, semantics of legal practice. The change of legal conceptions is dictated by the legal understanding of reality, the main trends in classical knowledge and the procedural application of law. Legal consciousness in the discourse of modern reality integrates the main trends of law and accentuates only those provisions that contribute most rationally to the existence of the subject in the legal sphere of society.
