Abstract. The article analyzes the principles of methodological support of the process of scientific research on art criticism, the content and interaction of the components of the methodological apparatus, technologies of their application. The main attention is paid to the system approach as one of the most important factors ensuring the selection of adequate methods, means of research and achievement of objective scientific results.
