THE PHENOMENON OF THE HUMAN "SELF" IN GERMAN CLASSICAL PHILOSOPHY

Filiptsev Konstantin Nikolaevich
Voronezh State University

Abstract. The article studies the problem of understanding the "self" as a subject of interaction with the objects of the surrounding world by representatives of the idealistic teachings of German classical philosophy. The author singles out the common and different features in views and concludes that in the dichotomy of subject - object the philosophers give priority to the active subject, the activity of which they regard primarily as spiritual, namely, as self-development of consciousness. Philosophers-idealists rightly point out that knowledge about the external world is a form of activity of the spirit (consciousness).
