MORAL IMPERATIVES OF J. WYCLIFFE’S CHRISTIAN ETHICS

Abstract. This article is devoted to John Wycliffe’s ethical views. The article notes J. Wycliffe’s influence on the formation of the world view of Protestant reformers of the XVI century. The author also draws attention to the fact that many of the works by John Wycliffe were devoted to the development of a correct approach to the interpretation of Holy Scripture. The Evangelical doctor opposed all sorts of scholastic techniques in the study of the Word of God and declared the Holy Scripture the corner-stone of his teaching.
