SOCIAL TRANSFORMATIONS IN KABARDINO-BALKARIA IN THE CONTEXT OF POST-SOVIET MODERNIZATION PROCESSES

Abstract. This work is devoted to studying the problem of the social structure transformation of Kabardino-Balkaria at the turn of the XX and XXI centuries, at the time when the socio-economic basis of the socium life was passing to fundamentally new conditions. The degree of influence of radical market reforms on the social sphere of the republic is analyzed. The role of new mechanisms of social adaptation and mobility channels in the formation of the stratification profile of the society is reflected.
