THE AMERICAN BUSINESS AND THE PROBLEM OF MARKET-ORIENTED REFORMS OF HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (THE SECOND HALF OF THE 1970S)

Abstract. The article examines the attitude of the American business to the plans of market-oriented reforms in the health care system, discussed during the presidency of J. Carter. The essence of the competitive strategy in this sphere is shown. The position of various groups and organizations of the American business in relation to plans for a procompetitive reorganization of the health care system is analyzed. The author notes the peculiarities of the approaches of different business groups to the given strategies and plans.
