Abstract. The article analyzes the materials of the Russian press of the end of 1911 - the beginning of 1912 in relation to the activity of Persia Committee (British parliamentary body aimed to preserve Persia’s independence and going to change British policy towards Russia and Persia). The author identifies debatable issues, examines different viewpoints, analyzes the perception of Persia Committee activity and decision-making mechanisms of British foreign policy by the Russian public, and concludes on the influence of misperception on British-Russian relations.
