EGYPTIAN-ISRAELI FRONTIER MILITARY CONFLICTS IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE 1950S

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying Egyptian-Israeli military conflicts in the first half of the 1950s. The author describes the peculiarities of frontier conflicts between the parties, focuses on the problem of Palestinian refugees as a factor contributing to escalation of the conflict. It is shown that the growing tension in the region was determined by the policy of world powers which, pursuing their own interests, maneuvered between the rivalries; the paper provides the arguments of the parties.
