METAMORPHOSES OF PLATO’S DOCTRINE OF THINGS AND IDEAS

Abstract. The article examines transformation of Plato’s doctrine of things and ideas. In a modified form it is observable: a) in exact sciences of the Modern Age; b) in historical science; c) in production arrangement of the industrial epoch; d) in priorities of education and non-productive activity of the post-industrial epoch, in interest for "technologies" typical for the modern epoch. Certain elements of Plato’s ideal state were also realized in the course of history.
