NOSTALGIA, BOREDOM AND NAUSEA AS MODES OF EXISTENTIAL ANXIETY

Abstract. The object of the study is existential anxiety as the human response to the inevitable existence realities: freedom, death, loneliness and absurd. In the article the author points at the ontological status of anxiety, and reveals its perception in various modes: melancholy, nostalgia, boredom, nausea. The author focuses her attention on the significance for a man of recognizing anxiety in its latent forms, because exactly this experience directs the person to a conscious authorship of his/her life project.
