"REVOLUTIONARY ELEMENT": MASS DEVIANT BEHAVIOUR IN RUSSIAN REVOLUTIONS OF 1917

Abstract. The article discusses relationship between the forms of population’s behaviour in the revolutionary events of 1917-1918. It analyzes the specific forms of the deviant behaviour of the population, shows the common and specific features of two Russian revolutions. The paper also identifies the regularities and succession of the development of mass deviant behaviour and the causes, forms and consequences of its manifestation at different stages of the revolutionary process. The author comes to the conclusion about the typicality of mass deviant behaviour in revolutions.
