REALISTIC PAINTING OF THE COURT DURING THE QING DYNASTY ERA: PORTRAIT

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the formation and development of a new Sino-European method in the painting of the court by the example of portrait. The theme of the Qing painting of the court was recognized as relevant only at the beginning of the XXI century. Heretofore these works were mainly in store-rooms because they were considered as eclectic, "non-Chinese" and of little value in artistic terms, that is why there are still few deep studies. The author identifies and researches the portrait itself in the European sense, the genre compositions including portrait and portrait during rest.
