SPECIFICITY OF MAGIC AS A FORM OF RELIGIOUS CONSCIOUSNESS

Abstract. The article analyzes the characteristic features of magic as a form of religious consciousness. Main attention is paid to the features that allow showing a significant difference between magical consciousness and other forms of religious consciousness. It is demonstrated that one of the important peculiarities of magic is borrowing certain doctrinal elements from other religions and endowing them with new semantic content.
