NUNNERIES OF THE CENTRAL BLACK EARTH REGION AT THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract. The article focuses on the everyday life history of the nunneries of the Central Black Earth Region at the beginning of the XX century (Voronezh, Kursk and Tambov provinces in 1900-1916). Relying on the analysis of pre-revolutionary and modern historiography and the periodical press materials of the beginning of the XX century the author provides the historical and geographical description of the mentioned nunneries including their territorial location and concentration areas.
