Abstract. The article states the viewpoint of P. A. Florensky on the personality of Socrates and the role of his philosophy in the history of philosophy on the basis of the only remained Florensky’s lecture about Socrates. The author examines this viewpoint in the context of the concrete metaphysics of Florensky and proposes her own interpretation of the image of Socrates used by Florensky. The latter creates an ambivalent image of Socrates, in which two Edens are combined: Eden fallen and Eden healed, and connection between them is his philosophy as means of the deification of a man.
