LANGUAGE AS ETHNOCULTURAL IDENTITY CORE UNDER CONDITIONS OF GLOBALIZATION (BY THE MATERIAL OF CULTURE OF KAZAKHSTAN)

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of certain aspects of modern Kazakhstan citizens’ ethnocultural identity under the conditions of globalization and multiculturalism. The paper uses data from a sociological survey that was conducted in 2014 by the Public Fund "Astana - Zertteu". The author states that balanced language policy, which has been conducted in Kazakhstan since the beginning of independence, contributed to the preservation of stability and peace, national consolidation and the integration of the people of Kazakhstan.
