LABOUR SKILLS FORMATION AMONG THE KARACHAY-BALKARIANS: EDUCATIONAL ASPECT

Abstract. The article examines the specifics of labour skills formation, the tasks of the labour education of the younger generation in the traditional Karachay-Balkar ethnocultural environment. Special attention is paid to such issues as organizing collective work, the efficient use of working hours, the physical training of the young people. The paper also shows the place and importance of cattle-breeding and agriculture in the system of the Karachay-Balkarians’ traditional labour education, identifies the role of the ritual holidays of the agricultural cycle in labour skills formation among the younger generation.
