Abstract. The article analyzes social changes in religious sphere that have occurred recently in Ingushetia. The author touches on the problems of coordinating the efforts of the authorities and religious associations to settle disagreement between the clergy representatives and the groups supporting the confronting clergymen. The paper also identifies the influence of the religious propaganda of forbidden in Russia terrorist organizations. Analyzing the Constitution of the Republic of Ingushetia and the practice of religious life the researcher focuses on observing believers’ rights, on interrelation between law and religion.
