Abstract. The article argues for the importance of using literary heritage while forming new objects of tourist infrastructure. The problem is examined by the example of the attractiveness of the Caucasian Mineralnye Vody as an object of tourist destination. The paper shows that literary tourism is a real possibility to emphasize the competitive advantages of the region, a basis of its economic, social and cultural potential.
