MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC ORDER AND SECURITY AT RAIL TRANSPORT IN RUSSIA IN MARCH-OCTOBER, 1917

Abstract. This article is devoted to the research of the Provisional Government reforms aimed at organizing the maintenance of public order and security at the Russian rail transport in March-October, 1917. The authors, referring to archival data, study a number of the projects of the formation of railway militia and conclude that a single law on railway militia was not adopted due to political reasons, and the problem of the organization of public order and security at the Russian rail roads was not resolved properly.
