Abstract. The article examines the everyday life and activity of the revived in the years of the Great Patriotic War Kursk Saint Trinity Nunnery. Relying on historiographic sources and the documents of the State Archive of the Russian Federation the author analyzes the conditions and forms of the existence of the nunnery, which functioned from 1942 till 1949, within the framework of new legislation and most complicated state - Church relations. The study indicated that Kursk Saint Trinity Nunnery was the only nunnery that functioned in the RSFSR in the 1940s.
