SOCIAL MECHANISMS OF THE PERSONALITY’S SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS FORMATION

Abstract. The article examines the socio-cultural components of the formation and development of the personality’s self-consciousness. The authors point to the complex character of the problem connected with the fact that ideology and moral regulation don’t cause enough influence in the contemporary society and can’t contribute to the development of self-consciousness by themselves; and both contemporary and mythological levels of consciousness having collective and individual, phylogenetic and ontogenetic foundations are included in the space of social reality.
