Abstract. The article examines the notion of physical culture, its structure and main characteristics. Physical culture is defined as an integrative notion, a synthesis of physical and spiritual (physicality) through the personality’s self-perfection. Value preferences among values representing activity towards the body perfection and the personality’s moral qualities are highlighted.
