Abstract. The article examines the phenomenon of computer games from ontological, philosophical viewpoints. According to the authors, computer games refer to virtual narrative and have their own unique features and characteristics. The paper identifies the spatial and temporal features of virtual narrative by the material of computer games. The researchers consider virtual narrative as a complex and heterogeneous phenomenon, which should be investigated from different viewpoints.
