SOCIAL TRANSFORMATIONS IN RUSSIA AND SPECIFICS OF MASS CONSCIOUSNESS MODERNIZATION

Abstract. The article analyzes the influence of religious factor on the process of social transformations in Russia. The author justifies the thesis that the discontinuity of the process of the secularization and modernization of mass consciousness did not allow developing the rationalistic model of thinking that was adopted in Western Europe as a result of the Reformation and the subsequent events. The study of social processes in Russia is impossible regardless of the deeper religious strata of national mentality.
