SOCIAL ATTITUDES AS THE MAIN DETERMINANTS OF THE CHECHENS’ "AGGRESSION"

Abstract. The article deals with the issue of the determinants of the typical image of the "aggressive" Chechen. The author analyzes the reasons of such image appearance. It is noted that the national character is extremely manifold and any generalization at the level of "typical" traits of the people is conditional. The relevance of the typical image may be caused by the following reasons: firstly, the fear of losing identity in the universalized world; secondly, the social attitudes regarding the Chechens and based on primary sources, which were the sketches of the Russian military men.
