LEISURE OF THE YOUTH OF THE BURYAT-MONGOLIAN ASSR IN THE 1920-1930S

Abstract. The article discusses leisure time and appearance of its new forms among the youth in the 1920-1930s. The author singles out peculiarities of pastime among the rural and urban youth of the Buryat-Mongolian ASSR noting unequal opportunities for these groups inclusion into new forms of everyday reality. In general it is noted that the formation of leisure activity took place within the framework of the policy on fostering a "new man" that was held in the country and was aimed to give access to the young people to new ideals and values.
