VIRTUAL WORLD OF COMPUTER GAMES AS NEW MYTHOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract. The article discovers tendency for consciousness mythologization in the virtual world of computer games. Trying to identify and differentiate the phenomena of modeling and simulation of reality in the virtual world of computer games the author analyzes how traditional survival strategies (adaptation to environment and environment adaptation) typical for a human being in the real world are replaced by strategies to achieve success accumulating its symbolic quantitative and status indicators. So, the virtual world of computer games can be considered as specific mythological environment.
