PHENOMENON OF "ATOMIC CIVIL WAR": TERRORISM OF INDIVIDUALISTS AS CHALLENGE TO THE MODERN WORLD

Abstract. The article presents a theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of terrorism and its transformation under the conditions of the information society. Terrorism is interpreted as a kind of civil war. Emergence of new forms of terrorism ("terrorism of individualists") conditioned by the processes of globalization and informatization is considered. The concept "atomic civil war" is proposed to describe social and historical context, in which terrorism of individualists is developed.
