Abstract. The article deals with neurological determinism from the position of neuroethics by the example of experiments with free will by Benjamin Libet and John Dylan Haynes. Their researches at the intersection of neuroscience and ethics led to a lively discussion about whether moral deeds are completely free and conscious, the extent, to which a person can control his/her choice, and where it is destined by unconscious brain processes. The work contains a description and analysis of the main arguments of this discussion.
