Abstract. The study of the interaction "art - society" leads to the study of the problem of the personality’s integrity, achievement of which might be possible in case of harmonious development of intellectual and creative fundamentals. Today, however, the human being feels the lack of a creative potential leading to psychological imbalance. The article discusses obstacles to achieving integrity and provides practical recommendations for its restoration that makes the formation of correct attitude to works of art possible.
