SOCIO-CULTURAL ASPECTS OF PARASCIENCE: SOCIO-PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract. The article conducts a socio-philosophical analysis of such socio-cultural phenomenon of modernity as parascience. The psychological, social and cultural-historical preconditions for its emergence and spread are identified. The ontological and existential grounds of parascience are determined. Its world-view role in mass consciousness of the modern society is revealed. The author comes to the conclusion that the phenomenon of parascience occupies a significant place in culture and largely determines further ways of the modern society development.
