MEANING OF THE NOTION "NOTHING" IN THE HISTORY OF EUROPEAN PHILOSOPHY: HEGEL, HEIDEGGER, SARTRE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the history of the notion "nothing" in the philosophy of G. W. F. Hegel, M. Heidegger, J.-P. Sartre. According to the author, Hegel, Heidegger and Sartre have the greatest impact on examining the issue of "nothing" in modern philosophy. The researcher analyzes what meaning this notion was filled with and for the solution of which problems it was essential. On the basis of the analysis the paper shows that the construction of "philosophy of nothing" was not a goal, but the notion played the key role in the creation of philosophical conceptions. The article also notes difficulties associated with the reception of the notion "nothing" in Russian philosophy.
