TAURIDA SCIENTIFIC ARCHIVAL COMMISSION AS A SOURCE ON HISTORY AND COOPERATION OF CRIMEAN PEOPLES

Abstract. The article describes the activity of one of provincial scientific archival commissions that functioned in Russia at the end of the XIX - the beginning of the XX century - Taurida Scientific Archival Commission (TSAC). The researcher mentions its most outstanding figures and evaluates the TSAC contribution into the process of collecting, studying and preserving historical data and materials from the history of Crimea and its peoples. The author emphasizes the uniqueness of the Commission members’ activity and exceptional importance of the acquired materials for studying the history of the Crimean peninsula.
