PARASCIENCE AS A SUBJECT OF SOCIO-PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract. The article conducts a socio-philosophical analysis of parascience foundations. Social reasons of parasciences occurrence and spread in the modern society are examined. The specificity of parascience relation to mass consciousness of the modern society, and also the socio-cultural status of parascience are revealed. The vision, cultural-historical and social bases of parascience are determined. The author comes to the conclusion that parascience is a striking example of variability and uncertainty of mass consciousness in critical periods of the society development that testifies to deep changes occurring in contemporary culture.
